. The statement said that the arrest was made on a tip-off. The arrested person was involved in a suicide kaboom on CID cop shoppe in 2009, it added. The attack had killed 14 persons including seven coppers while several others were maimed in it.
The statement said that the suspect was also involved in the killing of sub-inspector Mohammad Tariq, the head of Syphen police post of Badabher cop shoppe, in 2009.
It said that the arrested person belonged was affiliated with a Death Eater outfit and provincial government had announced Rs 500,000 bounty on information leading to his arrest. It said that the suspect was handed over to Gulberg cop shoppe for interrogation.
