| Yemeni Army, Popular Committees Control Saudi Post, Town in Jizan |

| [ALMANAR.LB] The Yemeni army and the Popular Committees announced on Tuesday their control over the Saudi military post of Ka'b al-Jaberi and the town of Mohannad in the border area of Jizan, leaving several Saudi soldiers killed and maimed. In a similar development, a front man for the Saudi Interior Ministry announced that a member of the Ministry was killed by a mortar shell fired from northern Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... on the border between the two countries. The front man said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency that "Military shells fired from the Yemeni territory killed Ali Bin Fahad Abu Mahasen, a member of the mujahideen administration branch in Jizan region." The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 6,230 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and kiddies. Despite Riyadh's claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures. |
