Turkey-PKK clashes erupt in Diyarbakir
2015-10-07
[Rudaw] At least four civilians were reportedly killed after festivities resumed between the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Turkish army in Diyarbakir, the most populous Kurdish city in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
, locals told Rudaw.

Following the lift of a curfew on vehicles in the township of Nusaybin in the Merdin province, the Turkish army declared a new military curfew in the town of Bismil in Diyarbakir earlier Tuesday. After that, in a military campaign by the Turkish army in the town, four non-combatants were killed.

"At around 12:30 pm, the Turkish army declared a curfew on vehicles in the township of Bismil and its three neighborhoods were blockaded by Turkish forces. Following that, festivities started between the Turkish army and PKK cells in the area," locals said.

The aftermath of festivities between the Turkish army and PKK guerrillas resulted in the death of four civilians in nearby areas caught between gunfire from the two factions. Locals told Rudaw that the identities of the slain are unknown, and they were transferred to the town's hospital morgue.

No casualty figures for the Turkish army or the PKK have been announced yet by either party.
