| More than a dozen killed or wounded in Baghdad bombings |

| [Rudaw] A wave of bombings in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday killed or maimed more than a dozen civilians. "A roadside kaboom detonated in the Mahmoodia neighborhood of southern Baghdad killing two civilians and wounding eight," a source from the Iraqi interior ministry told Rudaw. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said "the second kaboom took place in the neighborhood of Dawanmi in southeastern Baghdad, killing two civilians and wounding seven." An hour later, the third blast went off within a crowd at a traditional Bazaar in the neighborhood of Nahrawan, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and wounding five others, according to the source. According to Iraqi Body Count more than 145,000 civilians have died due to violence, boom-mobiles, suicide kabooms and kidnappings across the country, reversing a decline in sectarian bloodshed that had reached a climax in 2006-07. |
