| Russia Says Hit 60 IS, Nusra Targets in Syria |

| [AnNahar] Russian warplanes have hit 60 targets in Syria over the past 24 hours, including a munitions factory in eastern Deir Ezzor province, Russia's defense ministry said Tuesday. The ministry said in a statement that it had targeted sites controlled by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. In Deir Ezzor province, a "precision strike destroyed a mini factory" making bombs and rockets while another bomb "destroyed a terrorist communication hub" located in a post office building. Some targets were also located in Aleppo, Latakia and Damascus, and nine "underground fortifications" were hit in Hama province. Syria's conflict has left more than 250,000 dead and forced millions from their homes since March 2011, sparking a mass migration of refugees that has left Europe struggling to cope. The latest regime offensive has caused a mass exodus from Aleppo, according to the U.N., while the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Russian bombs have so far killed 370 people, including civilians. |
