| Xinhua cameraman disappears, feared kidnapped |

| A Libyan cameraman working for the Chinese newsagency Xinhua has disappeared and is feared to have been kidnapped. Mohamed Al-Naili, vanished in suspicious circumstances yesterday just after leaving home on his way to the bank. His hat was found in the street and neighbours reported seeing him being bundled into a black 4X4 vehcile. A student at Tripoli university, Niali has worked part-time for Xinhua for the past two years as well as freelancing for other local TV stations. His disappearance has been confirmed by colleagues on the foreign media department’s Viber group. It is being suggested, however, that his abduction may be a private rather than a political matter. |
