| Armed gang attack jail in Zliten |

| An armed gang yesterday attacked the jail in Zliten, 140 kilometres east of Tripoli, wounding police guards and temporarily taking it over. The gang, reported to have been led by a man named Ageela Andisha, shot at members of the judicial police. One of them, Mohamed Al-Hamali is said to have been wounded in the leg and was taken to hospital for treatment The jail’s director is also said to have been assaulted. |
