Pak security forces kill six militants in Kalat |

QUETTA: The security forces on Sunday claimed to have killed six suspected militants in Balochistan's Kalat district, said a statement issued by Frontier Corps. The militants belonged to a banned militant organisation, the spokesman for Frontier Corps, a paramilitary force, was quoted as saying. The spokesman apprised that the militants were killed during an exchange of fire with the security forces in Kalat. A cache of weapons was also recovered from their possession, he added. “Additional contingent of security personnel were called in Johan area of Kalat where the exchange of fire took place.” The FC spokesperson said “security forces timely retaliated and killed six miscreants”. The suspected militants were involved in incidents of target killings and bomb explosions in the area, the statement added.
