| Revolutionary Guards: Terrorist team destroyed |

| [RFE/RL] Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said it has destroyed a terrorist cell in the western province of Kermanshah. In a statement on November 18, the IRGC said the operation was carried out in "recent days." It said, "A terrorist team in Kermanshah Province near the border was identified in recent days and its members were arrested in an operation," adding that "some military equipment" was confiscated. A day earlier, the IRGC commander in Kermanshah was quoted as saying the IRGC and the Intelligence Ministry had arrested groups in the province trying to recruit fighters for Daesh. Intelligence Minister Mahmud Alavi said on November 15 that the recent terrorists attacks in Beirut and Paris should be regarded with "serious alarm" when it comes to Iran's security. |
