#4  Summary from The Telegraoh at midnight:

So the Belgian prosecutor, Eric Van Der Sypt, has updated us on tonight's developments. The key points:
• There were 19 raids in the Brussels area and three in Charleroi
• 16 people were arrested. Their identities will not be released
• Brussels police shot at a car that approached a roadblock during operation in the Molenbeek area
• The car escaped but police later found it with a wounded individual inside. He was arrested
• Salah Abdelslam, suspected Paris gunman, was not among those arrested
• No weapons or explosives were found
• The operation continues

Events no doubt will continue in the near future. Schools will be closed in Brussels tomorrow, and Mr. Abdelslam is said to be heading toward Germany in a BMW.

#3  Exactly SteveS. AND it saves a lot of wear and tear on your troops as well as conserving resources.

As soon as the hoaxes cease to be effective you do one for real and get triple the effect. Remember it is easier to train the animals (aka elites) with a non-regular reinforcement.

#2  If terrorism is about theater and marketing as well as blowing people up, shutting down a major western city has got to count as a big success. Great advert for the brand!
