| Coalition jets bomb rebel weapons ship |

| Arab coalition jets attacked a large vessel carrying weapons for the Iranian-backed coup rebels off the Yemeni coast in the Gulf of Aden, a news network reported on Sunday. The warplanes carried out eight raids against the ship off the Southern Shabwa governorate on Saturday, Masdar Online said, quoting a military source. It said the vessel was destroyed while many crew members were killed or wounded in the attack off the port of Rodoom. The network quoted the source as saying the Saudi-led coalition sent its warplanes to strike the ship after receiving information that it was carrying arms for the insurgents. It did not mention where the ship had come from but noted that the Houthis and their allies have not issued any statement about the attack. Coalition jets have attacked several naval targets off Yemen to stop Iran from sending weapons to its coup allies in the conflict-battered Arab country. |
