| Three Children Killed in Baghlan Blast |

| [Tolo News] Early reports indicate that at least three children were killed and 15 others injured in a mortar kaboom in northern Baghlan province, local officials said on Tuesday. The incident happened early Tuesday in Pul-e-Khumri, the capital of the province, after a group of boys found the mortar and started playing with it, officials at Baghlan hospital said. Officials did say however, that the corpse count could increase. This comes less than a week after eight children died in a mortar kaboom in Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the Worldand didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... This incident happened when the children apparently found the unwent kaboom!device, believed to have been left over from the civil war, while playing at a construction site. |
