Turkey warns Russia not to repeat rocket launcher incident
2015-12-08
[REUTERS] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
on Monday warned the Russian ambassador that there should be no repeat of an incident last week, when a Russian sailor allegedly brandished a rocket launcher on the deck of a naval ship passing through Istanbul, foreign ministry sources said.

The incident, which was captured in photographs, has further ramped up tension between the two countries, after Turkey last month shot down a Russian plane over Syria. Moscow has retaliated with a raft of sanctions and accused Ankara of treachery.

At last check/read, the more serious issue is the alleged or repor DETAINMENT OF RUSSIAN MERCHANT SHIPS = AKA INTERVENTION BY TURKEY WID RUSSIAN TRADE.

Big No-No in Tsarist, Soviet, + now Russian Maha-Rushian histoire'.

#4  Single guy on deck in a very visible position with a MANPAD. Sounds like a Beware of Dog sign. I'm guessing the Turks are pissed because they planned to buzz the ship, just because.

#3  MANPADS, not a rocket launcher. We used to do the same thing, during transit through... certain... waterways.

#1  Why do I keep having nightmares about 1914?

Is Zero's legacy going to be another "war to end all war"?
