| [Tolo News] A powerful car bomb exploded near the district governor's compound in Surkhrod district in eastern Nangarhar province early Monday, injuring 15 civilians and seven police officers. According to Nangarhar security officials no group including the Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident took place at about 6:30am at a market near the compound after an explosives-laden vehicle was detonated, said local officials. TOLOnews reporter, Zir Khan said that damage to surrounding buildings was extensive. |
