| [AA.TR] The Tuesday funeral of a prominent Kashmiri murderous Moslem killed in a shootout with Indian security forces last night has been accompanied by protests and festivities with Indian police. "There are thousands of people on the streets; protesters have blocked the roads," Panthachowk resident Mehraj Ahmad Shontoo told Anadolu Agency. "Police have used teargas and gunfire to disperse the crowds, but the protests remain ongoing," Shontoo said. Bhat joined the pro-independence Hizbul Mujahideen group in 2007, later joining the Lashkar-e-Taiba. |
