Just kidding -- US warbirds hit ISIS troops in Aleppo. KOBANE – At least 34 militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) were killed on Tuesday in renewed airstrikes by the U.S.-led coalition in Syria’s northern province of Aleppo, officials said. The western-backed alliance of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed in a statement the death of 34 ISIS jihadis in Tuesday’s strikes. “The coalition’s fighter jets bombed ISIS fighting positions near Manbij city in the northern countryside of Aleppo,” the SDF said. “Our (SDF) units stormed ISIS headquarters in the bombed area east of Manbij and sized heavy weapons from the group. 34 corpses of the terrorists were found in the area, while the rest withdrew towards Manbij city,” a spokesman for the SDF told ARA News. The source added that the airstrikes also destroyed four ISIS vehicles and several machine guns. |
