| Kenyan warplanes kill 7 people in Somalia |

| MOGADISHU – Seven people have been killed after Kenyan fighter jets reportedly bombed residential areas in south of Somalia’s Gedo region, witness and elders said. The Kenyan air-strikes have also killed nearly 20 other domestic animals and destroyed several wells used by herders in the region, according to an elder, Abdullahi Osman Nur. In an interview with Shabelle Media based in Mogadishu, Mr. Nor said that the victims included a women and her baby who were killed the air raid. The bombings came hours after Kenyan army forces with battle-wagons have entered in El Edde town, about 550Km west of Somalia’s capital Mogadishu. |
