Iraqi forces destroys ISIS supplies in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday the Commander of the 3rd special operations brigade in the Anti-Terrorism Bureau Major General Samy Kadim al-Aredi announced the destruction of ISIS armory in al-Sijariya area east of Ramadi.

“The forces from the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, army and Anbar police have advanced to liberate al-Sijariya, al-Juwbiya and Husaiba areas east of Ramadi from the ISIS control,” Aredi said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com.

Aredi added, “The forces engaged with ISIS fighters in al-Sijariya and managed to destruct the ISIS armory in the area, including mortar detachments, machine guns and guided missiles,” pointing out that, “Heavy human and material losses were inflicted on the enemy.”

Baghdadi's nephew dies in airstrike

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The Head of Khalidiya Council in Anbar Province Ali Dawood announced on Wednesday, that the nephew of the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in an Iraqi air strike east of Ramadi, along with eight of his companions.

Dawood said in a statement released by Anbar News Agency and followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today, Iraqi Air Force conducted an air strike on the so-called ISIS sharia court in Albu Bali area in Khalidiya Island east of Ramadi.”

Dawood added, “The strike resulted in the death of Abu Ahmed al-Samarrai the nephew of the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, along with eight of his companions, as well as Adel al-Bilawi, the Military Commander of Albu Bali area.”

Iraqi forces kill 11 ISIS elements east of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The commander of the Rapid Intervention Forces Maj. Gen. Tamer Muhammed Ismail announced on Wednesday the killing of 11 ISIS elements as well as the destruction of two shelters for them in Husaiybah area east of Ramadi.

Ismail said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today, a force from the Rapid Intervention Forces clashed with ISIS elements in the area of Husaiybah (7 km east of Ramadi), resulting in the death of 11 [ISIS] elements as well as the destruction of two shelters for them in the area.”

Ismail added, “The scorpion force belonging to the Rapid Intervention Forces was able to kill two ISIS elements, one of whom was targeting the special vehicle of dismantling the explosive devices.”

Albu Shajal liberated in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Baghdad Operations Command announced on Wednesday, that the Iraqi security forces had gained control over the area of Albu Shajal west of Saqalawiyah in the province of Anbar.

The commander of Baghdad Operations Maj. Gen. Abdul-Amir al-Shammari said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The Iraqi army’s 14th brigade managed to gain control over the area of Albu Shajal west of Saqalawiyah,” pointing out that, “The forces had inflicted big losses upon the enemy.”

Shammari added, “The forces were also able to detonate three booby-trapped vehicles.”

ISIS booby-trapped all entrances to Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday the Mayor of Fallujah Sadoun Shallan described the humanitarian situation in the district as very difficult, while indicated that the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) booby-trapped all the district’s entrances.

Shallan said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The humanitarian situation in Fallujah is very difficult, and there are five thousand families who suffer from tragic humanitarian situation where there is no food or medicine,” adding that, “We called the government, United Nations, humanitarian organizations and the international coalition to prepare secured passages in order to evacuate a number of families who became victims of ISIS and the tragic humanitarian situation.”

Shallan also pointed out, “ISIS booby-trapped all the entrances to Fallujah, and trying to kill the biggest number of its residents.”
