| One policeman killed, two injured in firing at picket |

| ISLAMABAD: A head constable of capital city police was killed and two others injured in firing by two motorcyclists on Friday at Pindora Chungi of Industrial area police station, a police spokesman said. According to reports, two persons riding on a motorbike started firing on a police picket at Pindora Chungi which resulted the death of Head Constable Imtiaz and bullet injuries to the Police Constable Zahid and FC Constable Bismillah Jan. The injured policemen have been admitted at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and further investigation is underway. Following this incident, police have started search operation in the adjacent area of Pindora Chungi and special teams have been constituted to ensure arrest of culprits. |
