| Activists Blast Govt For Not Ensuring Justice In Farkhunda Case |

| [Tolo News] Women rights activists lashed out at government on Sunday for not ensuring justice in the Farkhunda case. They claim justice has not been served. The activists accuse the Supreme Court of negligence. An angry mob in Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. She was beaten to death, and her body was burned. By chanting the slogan of 'justice for Farkhunda, justice for all' the activists joined the One Billion Rising Revolution, the 2016-campaign to end violence against women. The Minister of Women's Affairs, Dilbar Nazari, also joined the protesters and called on the government not to forget Farkhunda's case. Nazari, on behalf of Afghan women, called on the president [Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. The First Lady of Afghanistan, Rula Ghani, also put her weight behind the justice seekers. "I want to deliver to you the commitment of the first lady. When we were coming to this event, the first lady said that she was standing beside all Afghan women," said Nadia Saleh, an advisor to the First Lady.
