| 3 policemen gunned down in Faisalabad |

| FAISALABAD: At least three policemen were killed in a gun attack on Friday evening in Faisalabad. The suspected miscreants opened fire at policemen when they were stopped by patrolling police near Miran Wala Bangla Bypass, resulting in the killing of three policemen. The bodies were moved to hospital where they were handed over to heirs after autopsy. However, the suspects managed to escape. Heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area after the incident and launched search operation. Punjab chief minister expressed profound grief over the killing of three policemen and directed the police inspector general to submit a report, besides bringing the culprits to book. Two days back, unidentified assailants targeted two policemen Asif and Mubashir in Lahore. |
