| Swedish girl rescued by Kurds near Mosul, Iraq |

| [UPI] ERBIL, Iraq, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Kurdish special forces rescued a Swedish girl held by the Islamic State near Mosul, Iraq, Kurdish officials said Tuesday. The girl, 16, is believed to be a native of Boras, Sweden, and the missing person who traveled to the Middle East last summer in the company of her boyfriend, 19, who is alleged to have joined an extremist group. The Kurdistan Region Security Council, the high-ranking security organization for Iraqi Kurdistan, announced it "was called upon by Swedish authorities and members of her family to assist in locating and rescuing her" from IS. The statement added she was rescued near Mosul on Feb. 17, is currently in Kurdistan and will be transferred to Swedish authorities. She will presumably return to Sweden. |

| #5 Gorb, I don't know about religion at birth. She was pregnant at the time she started her trip. She gave birth so where is the kid? Her boy friend met his timely demise in a drone zap. She is 16 now so she is/was just a kid. |
