| Afghan intelligence arrest 13 involved in major terror activities in Takhar |

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan intelligence operatives juggedDrop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! a group of thirteen Lions of Islam involved in major terror related activities in northeastern Takhar province of Afghanistan. The National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... (NDS) said the detained individuals were involved in terrorist activities, including liquidation of religious holy mans, tribal elders and kidnappings. NDS said the intelligence operatives have also confiscated some weapons and explosives including an Ak-47 rifle, a pistol and hand grenades from the detained individuals. The anti-government armed bully boy groups have not commented regarding the detention of the suspected Lions of Islam so far. Takhar is among the relatively volatile provinces in northeastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed Lions of Islam are actively operating in a number of its remote districts. The Afghan intelligence earlier announced a group of suspected Lions of Islam including Taliban's shadow judge in Darqad district of Takhar. The Talibs took control of Darqad district following an offensive launched around five months and was late retaken by the security forces. |
