The US Congress should postpone an immediate vote to reauthorize the 2006 Iran Sanctions Act until further along in the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Secretary of State John Kerry told the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday, Sputnik reported."I don’t think there is a need to rush here. I would like to see how the [JCPOA] implementation goes," Kerry said when asked if he supports the immediate congressional reauthorization of the Iran Sanctions Act.

Kerry encouraged lawmakers to "not immediately" consider the Iran sanctions reauthorization, saying, "we are just beginning now to see the full implementation" of the JCPOA.
