| Wanted terrorist among 60 suspects arrested in KP |

| PESHAWAR: Police and law enforcement agencies on Saturday apprehended a wanted terrorist among 60 suspects during search operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to police, the law enforcement agencies carried out targeted search operations in Muslim Town, Khushhal Colony and Hakimabad area of Nowshera district. At least 20 suspects including 11 Afghan nationals were taken into custody. The suspects were shifted to unknown location for interrogation. Similarly, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) also arrested a suspected terrorist from Mingora area of Swat. The suspect is accused of remote control bomb attack on security forces in Sarband area in 2008. In another operation in Peshawar, the police and officials of the law enforcing agencies arrested 45 suspects including Afghan nationals from different areas of the provincial capital. Police carried out search operations in Faqirabad, Pathang Chowk and Ring Road area. At least 45 suspects including five Afghans were arrested during the search operations. The police also recovered weapons and drugs from some of the suspects. |
