Gunman, 14, arrested after opening fire and injuring four of his classmates inside Ohio school lunchroom
2016-03-01
  • [DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] Gunfire erupted inside cafeteria at Madison Jr/Sr High School in Madison Township at 11.30am Monday

  • Two students, Cooper Caffrey, 14, and Cameron Smith, 15, suffered gunshot wounds

  • Brant Murray and Katherine Doucette, both 14 years old, were injured by flying shrapnel

  • Police detained the suspected shooter, identified as 14-year-old James Austin Hancock, after he tried to flee

  • He was charged with two counts of attempted murder; two counts of felonious assault; inducing panic and making terroristic threats

  • School was placed on lockdown, which has since been lifted
This happened in my part of the world. According to the Cincinnati newspaper, as of 11:00 pm the sheriff said they believe they know why he did it, but aren't yet willing to say. The gun was a .380 caliber handgun, which young Master Hancock carried around with him all morning, until he started shooting students. The wounded are expected to be released from hospital in a few days.

#7  Lucky it was a 380. If it had been a real gun the numbers might have been different.

#4  Latest update from the local television station here: http://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/butler-county/madison-high-school-shooting-suspect-denies-charges. The lad pled not guilty. Was talking with friends at lunch, one of them mentioned having a problem with another kid, so he shot him. Very strange.

#3  I wonder if Caffrey & Smith had been bullying Hancock? It's not a defense, but it could help explain things.

#2  Probably a gun free zone. Glad those laws work so well.

#1  Gunboy, he is 14 years old. Happened nearby, pity the parents. Hope he goes to jail with that stupid f*ck therapist from Nashville.
