According to a statement released on Wednesday by the spokesperson of Nangarhar police, the incident took place in Mazdaki village of Achin district.
"Two Daesh [Islamic State] gunnies have been killed and three others maimed in the kabooms of their two home-made bombs in the jurisdiction of Mazdaki of Achin district," states Colonel Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal’s statement.
Even though, the Ministry of Defense says they have cleared all villages of Achin district from the presence of Daesh [Islamic State] during the ongoing military offensive ‘Operation Shaheen 18’ but it is believed that the group still has a strong presence in the area.
