| (IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A security source in Kirkuk province said on Wednesday, that a police officer was killed in a militant attack that took place in Sharka area east of Kirkuk. The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “This evening, unidentified gunmen driving a modern vehicle opened fire from their weapons against an officer in Kirkuk Police while passing in the area of Sharka east of Kirkuk, resulting in his immediate death.” The source, who requested anonymity, added, “A force from the police transferred the dead body to the forensic medicine department at Azadi General Hospital, while opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.” |
