| Pope accepts invitation to visit Pakistan this year |

| [DAWN] Pope Francis has accepted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf... ’s invitation to visit Pakistain this year, according to a message received here on Wednesday from the Vatican. Sure hope he brings his own security detail. The invitation was extended by Ports and Shipping Minister Kamran Michael and Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Yusuf. I'm sure the Paks will provide their usual "fool-proof" security. The highest Catholic priest also offered special prayers for Pakistain and the Paks who have fallen victim to terrorism. I think I'd rely on the Swiss Guards, if it was all the same. |
