The Suicide of the GOP Establishment
2016-03-05
"In the end, they have left the opponents of the status quo no choice -- they must either defeat Rubio, and radically change the power structure of the GOP, or they must watch Obama's immigration policy, Obama's trade policy, Bush's foreign policy, and Bush's economic policy, be implemented."

#10  So what changed? Nothing! Voting for GOP establishment yields exact same results as not voting for GOP establishment. I expect big GIVERnment and reduction of freedoms and ignoring the constitution from the Left. Getting that from the so called conservatives generates anger. Maybe Trump will actually fire someone in Washington. And do it on television for all of America to witness.

#8  Then there is Ted Cruz. Pissing off Rove, Reid, McConnell, McCain and Graham means he has the right enemies. Maybe he is the guy in the boat?

#7  BC, yep.

"It must be considered that there is nothing more difficult to carry out nor more doubtful of success nor more dangerous to handle than to initiate a new order of things; for the reformer has enemies in all those who profit by the old order, and only lukewarm defenders in all those who would profit by the new order; this lukewarmness arising partly from the incredulity of mankind who does not truly believe in anything new until they actually have experience of it."

Nicolo Machiavelli (1469 - 1527)

There is an old story about a fire on an oil drilling platform in the North sea. It was winter and the water temperature was COLD; you had eight to ten minutes in the water before you died. The waves were bad and a small boat was waiting underneath for a trapped worker to jump. He did and was pulled out of the water in time. When asked why he had decided to jump he answered, "The pain of burning alive overcame my fear of jumping into that ocean".

Pain motivates change.

#6  The GOP establishment like the Dems have gotten rich off the status quo and the favoritism of "campaign contributions" bribes to retire rich and powerful

I think the Trumpster and his rabble want to end that and the establishment on both sides of the aisle are afraid the gravy train will end if he is elected.
