Marco Rubio wins Puerto Rico Republican primary |
2016-03-07 |
[Iran Press TV] Florida Senator Marco Rubio has won the US Republican primary election in Puerto Rico, where 23 delegates are at stake, according to US media projections. With about 86 percent of the precincts reported on Sunday, Rubio had 74 percent of the vote, with Republican frontrunner Donald Trump in second with about 13 percent. Residents of Puerto Rico, a US territory located in the northeastern Caribbean, have American citizenship but cannot vote in the general election. However, the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits... they can participate in the primary process. |

#11 People that can't run an island think you would be good at running a country. File this one under "Damning with Faint Praise", Marco. |

#8 What makes you believe that Cruz will close even one alphabet agency (that just doesn't shift under another name or entity)? Who are the ones really fooling themselves? |

#7 What makes you think the progressive press won't blow up Cruz? |

#6 Rubio got his win, time to fold up the tent and get real about stopping Trump. And that means backing Cruz as much as people may not like the guy personally. Small government, constitutionalist. VP Rubio to be the attack dog, or VP Kasich to win Ohio, those are the decisions to make, stopping Trump from getting blown up by the progressiv press and handing it to Hillary in the general election. |

#3 It counts a lot 1) Shows Rubio has the Hispanic vote 2) Rubio needs every delegate he can get |

#2 They can vote in the primaries but not in the general election? By my reckoning, that doesn't count for much. |
