35 militants killed, 4 wounded in latest counter-terrorism operations: MoD

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least 35 anti-government armed faceless myrmidons were killed and 4 others were maimed in the latest counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said Tuesday that the operations were jointly conducted by the Afghan cops.

The statement further added that 7 suspects were incarcerated

The majority of the faceless myrmidons were killed in southern Uruzgan province, MoD said, adding that 20 holy warrior including the group’s 3 commanders were killed.

MoD also added that 4 faceless myrmidons were killed in another operation in Qarabagh district of southeastern Ghanzi province, while another holy warrior was killed, 1 was injured and 5 others were arrested in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province.

In the ongoing clearance operations in Dand-e-Ghori district of northern Baghlan province, the Afghan cops seized numerous weapons, ammunition and explosives, MoD said, adding that the clearance operations were conducted in different villages.
