| No casualties as suicide blast rocks Kabul city |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A relatively heavy kaboom rocked Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the Worldand didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... city this afternoon a jacket wallah detonated his explosives in 2nd Police district of the city, killing himself only in a premature blast. Najib Danish, deputy front man for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), confirmed that a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the Ministry of Finance in Police District#2. He said there were no casualties as a result of the attack and only the suicide bomber was killed. A security official in Police District#2 earlier confirmed that two suicide bombers were looking to attack a government compound in the city but were killed after their explosives went off prematurely. The official further added only the two suicide bombers were killed in the incident and there are no reports of casualties to the civilians or security personnel. The area where the incident has taken place is housing several ministry compounds and is located close the presidential palace. |
