2016-03-10 |
[Bangkok Post] Two soldiers were killed and three others wounded when a power pole was bombed and fell on their teacher-protection patrol in Narathiwat province on Wednesday afternoon. Troops, paramilitary rangers and defense volunteers were traveling in two vehicles as escort to a teachers' car in Chanae district when a roadside power pole was blown up. The pole snapped and fell on to the roof of the leading Isuzu pickup truck which carried three officers. The pole bounced onto the car with three teachers and the school director. Defense volunteers in the rear vehicle ordered the director to drive the badly damaged car back to school to take shelter. |
