| 9 militants killed in Afghan army raid in Helmand province |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least nine anti-government armed hard boyz were killed in a raid by the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces in southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province of Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the raid was conducted in the vicinity of Lashkargah city by the Afghan armed forces from the 215th Maiwand Corps. MoD further added that 5 hard boyz were also injured during the operation, while 2 others were tossed in the calaboose Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! in a separate raid by the commandos of the Afghan National Army from Greshk district. The anti-government armed holy warrior groups have not commented regarding the reports so far. Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where anti-government armed hard boyz are actively operating in its various districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities. The Talibs launched coordinated attack on government compounds in Greshk district of Helmand province earlier yesterday, with the local officials saying the jacket wallahs attacked the district police commandment, NDS department and the district administrative compound. The officials further added that 16 suicide bombers and hard boyz were killed in the attack and 21 others including civilians and security personnel were maimed. |
