Hamas says delegation to meet Egyptian officials in Cairo | ||

[AlAhram] A senior Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, official says a delegation from the Islamic holy warrior group is heading to Cairo to discuss the group's strained relationship with the Egyptian government.
Relations between Hamas and Egypt have soured since the ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi in 2013; Hamas and Morsi's Moslem Brüderbund were close allies. Egyptian officials have more than once linked Hamas to terror acts in Egypt, which spiked following the toppling of Morsi. Last week, Cairo accused Hamas of playing a major role in the 2015 liquidation of Egypt's chief prosecutor.
