| It is a tremendously challenging and stressful job with the fate of the Jewish people riding in the balance. And in return, the prime minister of Israel gets to take home NIS 17,645.73 a month. For the first time since taking office, and in response to a number of inquiries, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made public on his Twitter account on Tuesday his monthly salary slip, showing that he grossed NIS 47,485.29 in February. Of that, he paid NIS 21,572 in income tax, NIS 2,652 to the National Insurance Institute, and NIS 2,054 in health insurance. Another NIS 12,440 was deducted for use of a business car, in his case a specially outfitted armored vehicle. |
