| Three Abu Sayyaf leaders injured in Sulu firefight |

| [CNN] At least eight people were killed and more than twenty others were wounded during an clash between Philippine soldiers and members of the Abu Sayyaf in Patikul, Sulu on Friday. Three Abu Sayyaf leaders were reportedly among those injured in the battle. Military sources identified the militant leaders as Radulan Sahiron, Asari Sajali, and Almuher Yada. Seven unidentified rebels were also allegedly killed while three others were injured. At least one soldier was killed while 15 others were wounded in the encounter. |
