| 23 militants killed in latest air and ground operations of Afghan forces: MoD |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least 23 anti-government armed gunnies were killed in the latest counter-terrorism operations conducted by the Afghan national security forces in the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 3 gunnies affiliated with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were also killed in the raids. According to an operational update by the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the Afghan Air Force (AAF) also participated in the raids as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism operations. At least three ISIS loyalists were killed in eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province while 5 others were killed in air and ground operations in Nad-e-Ali district of Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... , the operational udpate said. At least 4 others were killed in a separate operation in Sangin district of Helmand, MoD said, adding that 2 others were killed in Paktia and Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... s. MoD also added that 7 gunnies were killed during an operation in Shindand district of western Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province of Afghanistan. The anti-government armed bad boy groups have not commented regarding the reports so far. |
