| #15 The only source quoted in the entire article is Roger "Ratfucker" Stone, "former" Trump surrogate. Everything else is "Claims they heard Claims". The enquires Editor is friends with Donald Trump and the tabloid actually endorsed him. Secondly the Enquire recently came out with the story that Scalia was assassinated by a "$2,000 dollar a night hooker recruited by the CIA from Mexico". No, you aren't misreading that. This is baseless so far. I'll wait until some actual evidence turns up, like with John Edwards. |

The National Enquirer splashed the alleged scandal across the front page of its April 4 edition, screaming "It's Over For Pervy Ted." The magazine touted "an explosive 'dirt file' on the finger-wagging conservative senator" but did not identify or quote any of the alleged mistresses in its online version. "Let me be clear, this National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies," Cruz told reporters from the campaign trail in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. "It is a tabloid smear, and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen." He repeated the denial online. "For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won't go," Cruz said on his official Facebook page. "These smears are completely false, they're offensive to Heidi and me, they're offensive to our daughters, and they're offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack." Cruz campaign adviser Jason Johnson tweeted links to a report that Trump and Enquirer CEO David Pecker had been friends for years. Trump denied having anything to do with the story. "Ted Cruz's problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyinâ Ted Cruz." |

| #7 The folks that really care about affairs are evengelicals and they already seem to be lining up for Trump. I'm not sure how big a dent this will make. Of course at this point it wouldn't have to be a big dent. |

| #5 3 Photos of alleged affairs Identified - Amanda Carpenter, Katrina Pierson (Trump spokesperson!), and Sarah Flores (campaign manager for Carly Fiorina). Allegedly these were not recent affairs, but years ago when the Cruz were living apart. Can not hang this on Trump - back in March, the group pushing for this were seemingly all supporters of Marco Rubio per Twitter. Let the chimpanzee style shit storm begin again in the zoo of campaign 2016. This should wrap the nomination up for Trump. Sometimes you win by being better, sometimes you win by dragging the opponent down below you. In politics, a win is a win. Now the question is how is he going to out dirty the Clintons or Sanders? |

| #3 This source has track record for spilling the beans on a lot of folks who "should have known better". From what I read, the "old hands" at interpreting NE tabloid exposes say that the inclusion of photos that can be identified with minor effort suggest that NE is prepared to defend itself aggressively against defamation charges - which means that it probably has fairly strong hard evidence. I guess that time will tell. I wonder if this is effectively Donald Trump "firing a shot across the bow" of the SS Rafael Cruz, to let him (and all subsequent opponents) know that taking shots at Melania will earn them withering counter-battery fire. |

| #1 So, all former Presidential hopefuls mentioned in the article that were sunk by such accusations were... Democrats - quelle surprise! I'd like to think that someone who has harbored presidential aspirations from the other side of the aisle for a good portion of his lifetime would not be so stupid & reckless to be banging other women besides their wives. Going to school at Harvard, surrounded by hundreds of enemy leftists, Cruz must have known this, so I'm calling bullshit here. |
