| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A heavy kaboom rocked capital Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the Worldand didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... earlier tonight after an improvised bomb went off in the vicinity of Macroryan area. The area was immediately cordoned off by the security forces following the kabooms which was triggered by an IED planted in in a bike. A security official confirmed that the blast took place close to a park located near block#21 in 3rd Macroryan. However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... he said the target of the blast has not been ascertained so far but a number of the government officials are living in the area. Fridoon Obaidi, head of the Criminal Investigation Department said one person was slightly injured in the incident. No group including the Talibs has so far grabbed credit behind the incident which comes as the security situation has improved during the recent weeks in Kabul city despite the myrmidon groups have been trying to carry out terrorist activities.
TOLOnews reporter at the blast scene said the bomb exploded beside the Firdawsi park near block 21 in Macroyan area of Kabul. However sources said on condition of anonymity that the target was likely an MP and one of his body guards was injured. ‎ | |
