Iraq’s Sadr in ‘Green Zone’ sit-in protest
2016-03-28
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi holy man Moqtada Sadr on Sunday entered the perimeter of Baghdad’s fortified "Green Zone" and began a sit-in to ramp up pressure for reforms.

The symbolic move by the young Shiite holy man comes after thousands of his supporters have been camping outside the restricted area’s entrances for more than a week.

Sadr wants Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to enact reforms tackling corruption and announce a technocratic government to replace the current cabinet of party-affiliated ministers.

In his most recent address, Sadr had said Abadi should announce new measures by Saturday or face further pressure from the street.

#6  Not money - influence. The Iranians are paying for his "ride."

#5  You mean he doesn't run because he makes too much money as a race hustler? OK. Works for Sharpton. Jackson too.

#4   If Tater thinks he knows so much about how to run the government why doesn't he run for office?

Think of him as an Iraqi Al Sharpton - just substitute "Shiite" for "black" and factor in poor choices in dress and dental hygiene.

#3  why doesn't he run for office?

He'd have to get his teeth fixed for the media cameras.

I'd actually pity the media folks, having to put up with what I can only assume to be the devastating halitosis emanating from that pie-hole.
