Brussels police break up far-right protests
2016-03-28
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Belgian police briefly used water cannon to control several hundred rowdy protesters in central Brussels on Sunday after they ignored an official call for marches to be postponed following Tuesday’s bombings.

Amid fears of further attacks, officials wanted to give police the scope to focus on investigations which have widened to other countries, leading to the arrest of an Algerian in Italia and intelligence cooperation with Germany. Police carried out 13 new raids in Belgium itself.

Hundreds nevertheless gathered at the Bourse to express solidarity with the victims of the suicide kabooms at Brussels airport and on a rush-hour metro train. Thirty one people were killed, including three attackers, and hundreds more injured. ISIS has grabbed credit.

#6  many of whom local media described as right-wing nationalists, carrying banners denouncing ISIS.

I wonder what the left-wing analogue would be, according to the local media? Commie Simps or Regular Folks?

How many of the local media? Which ones? The local equivalent of MSNBC or Fox News?

#2  What I often wonder is why is it that the so-called "far-rightists" are the only ones who seem outraged by the latest atrocity. Why aren't there millions of folks from all walks of life on the street going rampagingly mad at the politicos and so-called intelligentsia that enabled civilization's enemies to enter in such great numbers.

#1  I wonder if one of the foundations of Belgian society is respect for themselves.
