| Nearly 100 Taliban insurgents killed, wounded in Khanshin district of Helmand |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] Nearly 100 Talibs were killed or maimed during the operations in Khanshin district of southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province which was retaken by the Afghan forces yesterday. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 60 Taliban Death Eaters were killed and 30 others were maimed during the operations conducted jointly by the Afghan forces. The control of Khanshin district fell to Talibs nearly two weeks ago following a coordinated attack involving scores of holy warriors. However, the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits... the security officials announced Sunday that the Afghan forces managed to clear the district from the forces of Evil presence as a result of the operations. Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where anti-government armed holy warrior groups are actively operating in its various districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities. MoD further added that 7 soldiers serving with the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces also bit the dust during the same operations. |
