Diplomatic quarter planned for foreign missions in Jalalabad

Hifzullah Ishaqzai, head of the foreign affairs of Nangarhar said on Wednesday that efforts have been made to implement the project.

Meanwhilek, spokesperson for the Governor House said that construction of the diplomatic quarter would begin this year. Attaullah Khogyani did not specify a date for it.

Residents of Jalalabad had been demanding foreign missions to vacate populated areas since long ago saying that they come under occasional attacks.

Most of the victims of these attacks have been recorded civilians who had been living or working in surrounding areas by the time of the attacks.
