| [ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] Syrian President Bashar Assad told Ria Novosti and Sputnik Russia news agencies that the ongoing ceasefire is relatively satisfactory, adding that its success could not be anticipated by many people. In the second part of the interview with the Russian outlets, President Assad added that the Russians and the Americans held talks to label the terrorist groups without reaching a complete agreement, noting that the anti-terrorist stance of Damascus and Moscow has not changed. "The most important step now is to speed up the reconciliations and to contact the gunmen who desire to give up their weaponry, explaining that the government is ready to tolerate all those gunmen to avoid a further bloodshed in Syria." |
