Rada denies attacking Mufti’s Dar Ifta Tripoli HQ
2016-04-04
The Rada SDF Special Deterrence Force has refuted social media accusations and photos suggesting that its forces had attacked and forced the closure of Dar Al Ifta, the headquarters of former Grand Mufti Sadik Al Ghariani in Tripoli.

Dar al Ifta had also refuted the claim.

The reports come on the back of the attack on Al Nabaa TV station in the Zanata district of Tripoli and popularly considered to be owned or financed by Abdelhakim Belhaj.

In fact, the forces seen in the photos circulating on social media were acting in a protective capacity safeguarding a meeting being held at the building next door to Dar Al Ifta.

The building is the headquarters of Abdelrahman Sewehli and his Union for the Nation political party and was being used for a meeting by GNC members of the State Council.
