#1 the Saudi's have actually tried, unsuccessfully, to stabilize Leb for several decades Iran and, in a different way, the Paleos are responsible for at least 75% of the trouble in Leb since, say, 1975. In the 70s and early 80s, the Soviets were responsible for a lot of the problems also. Of course, the Lebanese themselves have done horrible things to each other also. Somewhere over 300,000 people have been killed in factional and terrorist violence since 1975 (most before 1990 during the active civil war) |
