| ISIS rocket artillery hit Taza (IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A security source in Kirkuk Province announced on Wednesday, that the so-called ISIS attacked Taza area in southern Kirkuk, using Katyusha rockets. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This afternoon, ISIS launched two Katyusha rockets from the vicinity of Kasabat Bashir toward the center of Taza area in southern Kirkuk,” noting that, “Two other rockets fell north of the vicinity.” The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “The attack did not result in any casualties or damage.” Kurds detain 12 ISIS suspects (IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – On Wednesday the security forces from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Kirkuk Province announced arresting 12 members of the so-called ISIS in central Kirkuk, while pointed out that the detainees had entered the city as displaced people. The Kurdish security forces spokesman, Brigadier Samko Mahmoud, said in press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The Kurdish security forces (Asayish) arrested 12 militants from ISIS in the city of Kirkuk.” Mahmoud added, “The detainees had entered the city of Kirkuk as displaced people.” |
