| 4 civilians wounded in mortar attack (IraqiNews.com) Diyali – A local source in Diyali province said on Sunday, that four civilians had been injured in a mortar shell fall that took place in a field northeast of Baqubah. The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “Four civilians had been injured as a result of the fall of seven mortar shells on the village of Abu Karma (25 km northeast of Baqubah),” noting that, “[The attack] was launched from a field filled with armed cells linked with ISIS.” The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.” ISIS Top Turban killed by sniper (IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Sunday, a local source in Diyala Province revealed, that a member in al-Hashd al-Asha’ri was killed by a sniper fire northeast of Baqubah. The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A member in al-Hashd al-Asha’ri was killed by a sniper fire in a checkpoint inside the gardens of al-A’li area.” The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The sniper fire came from the gardens of al-Zour area.” |
